Clemens Oestreich
Clemens has been sailing since 1995 and raised six children at sea. He he is the heart and soul of the Infinity Expedition and her mission.
Liberated by the vastness of open ocean, bound only by our commitment to Earth and one another, we live a life on the high seas. We drop anchor by lost islands and share friendship with its people.
Since 2004, we have hosted hundreds of volunteers from all walks of life on extensive journeys to all continents, both polar regions, and countless islands in-between. We strive to create a sustainable model of communal living that aids each members personal journey and actively makes a positive contribution to our planet.
Captain Clemens and Sage, with children Rhian 13y, Chloe 11y and Rafael 1y, permanently live aboard. They are joined by an ever-changing cast of characters from all walks of life for extensive journeys to all seven continents.
On Infinity everyone is family and that means we go through thick and thin. We share cost and profit, hardship and joy, giving and receiving, work and recreation.
We have an infinite assortment of shortcomings.
We are lively, uninhibited, eccentric, intimate, open-minded, caring, imperfect and at times obnoxious.
Our kids play, run, laugh, scream, explore, ask, climb, swim, cry, touch, talk and poo and pee. Adults observe, learn, listen and step in with guidance in case someone gets hurt.
We film our extraordinary adventures and the unique social dynamics of crammed community in the demanding reality of sea life in close quarters.
Does your heart beat brave yet humble in a high seas toss and tumble?
Is serving with devotion the potion that keeps you in motion?
Are you inspiring and fun when getting work done?
Can eating rice and beans arouse in you utopian dreams?
If the above describes you, consider applying as crew.
